Chaldea creates watercolor illustrations and reproduces them as greeting cards and matted prints. She has a background in traditional fine art, but has always been attracted to the beauty of children's book illustration, which is reflected in her artistic style. Themes of home, family, and farm life can be found in her paintings. She intends for each piece to tell a story, and hopes the viewer feels as if they are right in the scene with the animal characters, particularly the cozy, detailed interior spaces.
