Collection: Jacqueline DeBoer Salem

Jacki DeBoer Salem began studying metal work in 1968 with Carrie Adell, an accomplished jewelry designer from New Jersey. At the time she was attending Glassboro State College majoring in flute. A few years later, she moved to Western Massachusetts and shifted her creative energy from music to jewelry design. Jo Anna Stone, a silversmith at the Leverett Craft Center, became Jacki’s mentor and gave her both inspiration and support that led to her focus on cloisonné enameled jewelry. Jacki established a production line and began a jewelry business. She has marketed her work at major wholesale craft events and group shows, as well as giving jewelry workshops and demonstrations in both fabrication and enameling at U of Mass., Williston Academy, and Smith College Museum.
